Snickers: Registered with the American Quarter Horse Assn (AQHA) as an Appendix Quarter Horse. Registered name is Snickers Top Candy, born 5/17/98. Snickers is a "buckskin-colored" Dun with very visible black "zebra" stripes on all legs and a black dun stripe down the center of his back. On the back of his ears, the tips are evenly marked with black. Not only are his markings very balanced and rare but he is also quite a handsome fellow! There is a very small white speck on his right rear coronet. He is approx 15.0 hands and a very gentle, personable gelding. His sire was a sleek, black Thoroughbred and his dam was a nice, stocky red dun who could still "light up a trail" when she was in her '20's. I've used Snickers as a trail horse. He seems to enjoy getting out and camping. He has done hills, ditches, water, and steps over logs/rocks, etc... on the trail. He ties well on a picket line and loads and trailers well. He is good for my farrier (an Amish friend) and gets along well with most of my other horses, including the youngsters. He is mid-low range in the pecking order and is overall a pretty laid-back guy. Novices have ridden him without problems. He's not a "push-button" horse but is easy to get along with. He's been to 4-H fair in Western Pleasure and Halter. My opinion is that he is too flashy to be a trail horse, he needs to get out and be seen in the show ring. He carries himself pretty well and would look good in either Western or English disciplines.
